Man critical after shooting in front of restaurant

A 52-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot in front of a Brewerytown restaurant.

Police say it happened just before 12:30am Sunday when the victim was walking by Steak and All, near 29th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

That's when the gunman approached and fired several times, striking the victim once in the abdomen, and ran away on foot.

At least eight shell casings were found on the ground. The victim was taken for surgery.

Police are hoping surveillance video will help them identify and find the gunman, who they say was wearing all black clothing.
