Man on cell phone shot 3 times in back

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A man is in the hospital after being shot three times at a North Philadelphia intersection.

Police say it happened at about 12:30 a.m. Monday at N. 19th and Jefferson streets.

They say it seems the 21-year-old victim was leaning against a car, talking on a cell phone.

They found him with three gunshot wounds to his lower back. He is in stable condition.

Two parked cars were also hit. Eleven bullet casings were found.

There is no word on suspects or a motive at this time.
