Man shot, killed in Fishtown overnight

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Fishtown early Wednesday morning.

Officers had responded to a radio call of a person with a gun inside an apartment building on the 1000 block of East Montgomery Avenue.

Upon their arrival, police located a shooting victim lying down on the hallway floor with a gunshot wound to his head.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:45 a.m.

This investigation is active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
