Man walking dog assaulted, attacker escapes

Police say a teen asked a man walking his dog what time it was, and then started punching him.

By the time the beating was over, the victim's nose was broken and he was knocked to the ground.

It happened at 1:19am last Saturday and police are hoping you'll help them catch the attacker.

Surveillance cameras were rolling in the 1100 block of N. 66th Street.

Police say the attacker was with four other unknown teens. They were seen trying to open car doors in the area before the assault. Afterward, they all got away north on 66th Street.

The victim is 61 years old. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

The suspect was simply described as between 16 and 18 years old, with three others who were also between 16 and 18 years old.
