Man wanted for bank robbery on Christmas Eve day

Philadelphia police and the FBI are both asking for help catching the man who spent part of Christmas Eve day robbing a bank in the Northeast.

They say it happened at about 12:35pm on Saturday, Dec. 24, at the Citizens Bank branch at 2516 Welsh Road.

The man entered the bank and showed a teller a demand note. Then, they say he took an undisclosed amount of money and ran away.

The suspect is described as in his late 30s to early 40s, about 5'8" to 5'9" tall, with a light complexion. He was wearing black-framed eyeglasses and a hunter green winter jacket, black knit cap, and black scarf.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

There is a reward for information leading to his capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
