Man, woman sought after violent pharmacy robbery

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man and woman they say were involved in a robbery at a pharmacy in West Philadelphia over the weekend.

Saturday around 2:40 p.m. police say the two suspects entered the store on the 4100 block of Lancaster Avenue. Once inside, surveillance video shows the male suspect kicking in the cashier entry door, and ordering an employee to get on the floor.

The suspect then motioned to his waist, as if he was armed with a weapon, while the female suspect began grabbing several pharmaceutical products, placing them into a black gym bag.

The male suspect becomes involved in a physical altercation with the cashier, before both suspects fled the store, running east on Aspen Street.

Police have described the suspects as a black male in his late 20s, standing 5'8" with a medium build, and a black female, approximately 20-years of age, standing 5'5" with a heavy build, and black and brown shoulder length braids.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
