Man Wounded in Fairhill Stabbing

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Philadelphia police are investigating a stabbing on the 100 block of W. Gurney Street in the city's Fairhill section.

The stabbing happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say a 54-year-old man was stabbed three times. He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was placed in critical condition.

So far, no arrests, but police did recover a weapon behind a house. Police say the motive in the stabbing is robbery.
