Matthew McConaughey takes out newspaper ad congratulating Nick Foles

Philadelphia Eagles fans don't expect much love from the state of Texas, but they'll take it where they can get it.

That love came in the form of a full-page ad in Sunday's Austin American-Statesman newspaper.

"From one local to another, congratulations Nick Foles," the ad reads. "Just keep livin, Matthew McConaughey."

Like Foles, McConaughey is also a native of Austin, Texas.

John Bridges, the managing editor of the paper, tweeted a photo of the page that reads, "From one local to another, congratulations Nick Foles. Just keep livin, Matthew McConaughey."

Foles took over for Carson Wentz following a knee injury and helped lead the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title in franchise history.

His Super Bowl performance was one for the books, throwing for three touchdown, catching another and earning the title of Most Valuable Player.
