Mays Landing teen charged after threats on social media

Mays Landing, NJ (WTXF) - Police say a 13-year-old from Mays Landing has been arrested and charged after threats appeared to be similar to recent "clown threats."

According to the Township of Hamilton Police Department, they received a report of threats against the William Davies Middle School made via the social media site, Instagram.

Police say after an extensive investigation, a 13-year-old from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with 3rd degree terroristic threats and 3rd degree causing false public alarm. The juvenile was released to his parents pending juvenile court.
