(INSIDE EDITION) A South Carolina woman has been charged after her 4-year-old daughter was tied up overnight, causing her death.

Cynthia Estrada-Lopez, 24, has been charged with homicide and child abuse after she allegedly tied the young girl to a bed and placed tape over her mouth before leaving her by herself for the night on July 31, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Office.

The girl, whose name was not revealed by authorities, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
