More Regional Rail trains should mean better Monday commute for some

SEPTA is adding more trains to some of its lines, and changing scheduled times for some others.

The transportation agency says they will "address crowding and station pass-ups and maximize operation of the leased train cars already in service and the additional cars that will be arriving in time for the service day on Monday."

Starting Monday, the Warminster and Glenside line will have three added trains and two train changes.

Lansdale/Doylestown will have one added train and one train change.

Also, look for changes on the Manayunk/Norristown and Trenton lines.

They all go into effect Monday.

Remember, the Cynwyd line is operating shuttle buses at Cynwyd, Bala, Wynnefield, and 30th Street Stations, where travelers can connect to the Market-Frankford subway line or trolleys to Center City.

This is just the latest announcement after more than 100 of its Silverliner V cars were taken off the tracks due to a defect.
