Mother of Four Beaten to Death, Left in Closet While Suspects Partied

ASHTABULA, Ohio - A mother of four was beaten to death and hidden in a closet for several days while two suspects in the incident partied.

The body of Mandy Gottschalk, 36, was found in a shallow grave, several days after her family reported her missing on August 17.

Prosecutors say that Kyle Starkey beat Gottschalk to death, while Ryan McBride watched. Then, the pair left the corpse in the closet of the home for several days, reports Fox 8.

During that time, Starkey and McBride allegedly partied, before returning to the house and burying the body.

Starkey was indicted on two counts of murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse and domestic violence. McBride was indicted on tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.
