Mother of man in wheelchair killed by Del. police takes plea deal

The Delaware mother of a man in a wheelchair who was fatally shot by police has accepted a plea deal related to an attack on a woman she thought made a 911 call about her son.
The News Journal reports that 49-year-old Phyllis McDole pleaded guilty Tuesday to third-degree burglary. In exchange, the state dropped assault, conspiracy, and terroristic threatening charges.
Police say officers fatally shot 28-year-old Jeremy McDole in September after he ignored commands to drop his weapon and reached toward his waist. The officers were responding to a 911 call about a man who had shot himself and was still armed.
Police say days later, Phyllis McDole and five others looking for the caller punched and threatened a woman. Police say that woman wasn't the 911 caller.
