13-year-old member of YouTube family dies

- Caleb Logan, a member of the popular YouTube family the Bratayleys, died Thursday at the age of 13.

The family took to their Instagram page Friday afternoon to issue break the news.

"Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us," the caption of the photo read. "Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son."

"We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato,” the post continued.

The news stunned fans who have been watching the family online since 2010. Variety reports that their YouTube channel has garnered more than one billion views.

Their most popular video has been viewed more than 22 million times.

On Saturday, the family posted one of their daily vlogging videos featuring Caleb. It was made on Wednesday, the day before Caleb died, according to the video.

"In addition to our desire to give the Internet community the chance to begin the grieving process, we also wanted to post this video to show a healthy and happy Caleb doing what he loved," the family wrote on YouTube.

"Thank you for all the love and support that everyone has shown our family. And we ask for continued love and support as we move through the grieving process."

The family posted another video on Sunday featuring numerous moments of the teen. It is titled “Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten.”
