Man arrested & charged with two counts of capital murder in the killing of two nuns

- A suspect has been arrested and charged with the murder of two nuns in Mississippi.

46-year-old Rodney Earl Sanders is charged with two counts of capital murder.

Police say he killed Sisters Margaret Held and Paula Merrill in their home in Durant Thursday morning.

The murders were discovered when the nuns didn't show up for work at a local clinic, where they worked as nurses caring for people who couldn't afford medical care.

Police have not released a cause of death, though the reverend who oversees the church the nuns attended says they were stabbed.

Authorities have not yet released a possible motive for the attack.
