(INSIDE EDITION) - A Michigan woman will serve jail time after she falsely told police she was abducted and raped by four men and then sent disturbing photos of "the kidnapping" to her boyfriend.
Leiha Artman, 25, pled guilty to making a false report of a felony to police and was sentenced to serve a year in jail.
Artman, of Fruitland Township, reportedly told police she was approached by a group of men in her driveway who asked for directions.
She then claimed she was blindfolded and bound by her hands and feet and thrown in the trunk, according to police.
Artman said she was driven to another location and beaten and sexually assaulted, according to officials.
Artman sent photos through text message to her boyfriend of herself gagged and bleeding during the time she was “missing,” detailing the ordeal and asking for ransom money.
According to reports, a few days later she called her boyfriend and told him that the men dropped her off near her home before any ransom was paid.
Artman eventually told police she made the story up, according to officials.
