(FOX NEWS INSIDER) - A Port St. Lucie, Florida, police officer has been arrested by Department of Homeland Security agents as part of a child porn investigation, according to Fox 29 Florida.
Michael Harding, voted 2011 "Officer of the Year" in Fort Pierce, Florida, has been jailed for possession of child porn videos of preschool age to pre-teen boys and girls performing sex acts.
During a federal court hearing Wednesday morning, the 27-year-old married father of three was formally charged with sending and receiving child porn, which is a minimum of five years and maximum of 20 years in prison.
At a news conference Wednesday morning, Port St. Lucie Police Chief John Bolduc said Harding was placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
