INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A woman crashes her SUV into an Indianapolis sub shop and police say she did it on purpose.
Early Friday morning, broken glass and debris were strewn around Greiner's sub shop.
Police say one person was injured when the car suddenly plowed through the front window.
Tina Scruggs had to be extricated from under debris and was taken to the hospital in critical condition as the driver was taken into custody.
Officials are looking into whether it was all intentional, but so far don't believe the driver knew anyone was inside.
Captain Richard Riddle with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said, "We don't know if there's any correlation or any connection between our driver and our victim which would lead our driver to intentionally strike the employee inside.
We believe that the driver of the vehicle is probably under some type of mental disorder or some type of mental episode.”
Indianapolis PD describes the incident as "intentional but random."
