9-year-old with incurable disease becomes superhero for the day

- A 9-year-old girl battling an incurable disease just had one of her biggest dreams come true and she’s calling it the best day of her life.

Kylinn Sciortino has Ehler’s Danlos syndrome, which is an incurable disease that makes her extremely fragile. In fact, she recently broke both of her wrists.

It is described as a connective tissue disorder that affects every system in the body.

But, the disease isn’t holding Kylinn back.

“I used to take karate and now I’m taking Kendo,” she said.

On Saturday, her dream of becoming a superhero came true with the help of the Wish Connection.

With the help of some other superheroes, she saved the city of Fairfield, California from an evil gang.

And in return for her heroic efforts, the Mayor surprised her with a $500 shopping spree at a local mall.

And she could barely contain her excitement.

“Oh she is just thrilled. Thrilled. As any child should be, and this is going to affect the rest of her life,” Mayor Harry Price said.

And the girl had nothing but appreciation for everyone who made her special day happen.

“Everybody, thank you!” she said.
