Louisiana - A Louisiana teacher becomes the third teacher at Destrehan High School to be accused of inappropriate student-teacher relations after it comes to light that she allegedly had an affair with her sixteen-year-old female, according to the Daily Mail.
In St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, 26-year-old geography teacher Kimberly Naquin has been arrested on charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, and sexual relations between a teacher and a student, the Daily Mail reports.
Naquin, daughter of a school teacher and the county school board president, was allegedly having a year-long affair with her student that started in September 2014 and ended last August.
The arrest came after one of the student’s family members reportedly went to the police with information. According to the Daily Mail, in interviews with the detectives, Naquin’s alleged lover was said to have given the police details of the affair.
The inappropriate relations are alleged to have taken place primarily in Naquin’s former home.
Additionally, this is not the first time that this school has been in hot water for inappropriate sexual relations between teachers and students. Just three months ago, two teachers, Shelley Defresne, 33, and Rachel Respess, 25 were accused of having a three-way with a seventeen-year-old male student.
Naquin is currently residing in the Nelson Coleman corrections facility without bond.
