Dash-cam footage shows man burglarizing police officer's vehicle

- Surveillance footage shows a bold burglar rummaging inside a police officer's vehicle in Miami, carelessly handling a loaded gun, WSVN reports.

The victim did not want to be identified, but he says he was unloading groceries from his car Thursday night when the thief struck.

The man’s car doors were unlocked and a prime target for a biker looking for an easy rip-off.

According to the victim, the biker tested the doors to see if the car was unlocked. Once he determined it was, he dropped his bike across the street and entered the vehicle.

Luckily, the victim’s car had a motion-detected dashboard camera, which captured the thief grabbing a loaded gun from the center console.

The video shows the thief holding the gun carelessly, resting it against his stomach as he rummages through the vehicle before bolting, according to WSVN.

The victim says that he then came back, and looked through the vehicle once more before leaving, getting on his bike, and pedaling away – all captured on surveillance video. He also made off with the victim’s daughter’s cell phone.
