Former babysitter charged with abducting 2-year-old

- A two-year-old Massachusetts girl went missing on Friday only to be found hours later, and now her former babysitter has been arrested in connection to the disappearance.

FOX Boston reports that Lyndon Albers was last seen at her family’s home in Hamilton, MA around 3:00 a.m. on Friday. Her parents reported her missing at 7:00 a.m.

Just as officials prepared to send an Amber Alert, the couple located the girl.

Lyndon was found eight miles from her home by Tom and Marge Crosby, from Ipswich, MA.

According to the couple, they found Lyndon sitting in a pile of leaves on the side of a road. She was shivering, naked, and her head had been shaved. She also had a contusion on her head about the size of “a softball” according to FOX Boston.

Police report that Lyndon was abducted by her former babysitter, 21-year-old Abigail Hanna from Topsfield, MA.

Now, Hanna faces charges of kidnapping, assault, and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault, and battery on a child, and breaking and entering in the nighttime.

Lyndon was reunited with her family on Friday, shortly after she was found. She was still in the hospital as of Saturday morning.
