Husband appeals for return of missing jogger wife as reward hits $50G: 'Just bring her home'

- The panicked husband of a missing jogger and mother of two, who disappeared last week near her Northern California home, has issued a public plea for help in finding her.

"Bring her home, bring her home, just bring her home," a distraught Keith Papini told KRCR-TV. "Bring her home safe. There is a $50,000 reward. Just bring her home."

Sherri Papini, the mother of two young children, was last seen wearing a pink jogging jacket off Old Oregon Trail, north of Redding last Wednesday, authorities said.

"It's hard waiting, you know, you are waiting for a phone call, you're waiting for something to tell us this is the direction, or this is the house, or this is the car, and that is very difficult right now," he said.

Papini reported his wife missing after coming home to an empty house. Normally, his wife and their kids, ages 2 and 4, would be there to greet him after he got off work.

He called his children's day care, and was told Sherri hadn't picked up their kids.

He used the "Find My iPhone" app to locate his wife's cell phone, which he discovered down the street.

That's when he called 911.

He is convinced she was abducted, he said. He has not told their children that mommy is missing. The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

"It's the worst thing in the world," her husband said. "It's the worst thing ever."
