NEW YORK, NY - The search is on for the man who gunned down a New York City imam and his assistant outside a mosque.
This is the man police say killed the two in broad daylight Saturday, after prayers.
The 55 and 64-year-olds were both shot in the head a little before two o'clock in the Ozone Park section of Queens.
Police haven't called it a hate crime, but residents believe the two victims were targeted because of their faith.
Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was triggered by an earlier dispute at the mosque.
They're looking at surveillance video that reportedly shows the gunman leaving the scene with a weapon in his hand.
