New Jersey State Police Cancels Amber Alert

The Amber Alert issued to locate 9-month-old William Merino has been cancelled.

The child was found safe, and the suspect, William Merino has been taken into custody.

Per New Jersey State Police -- An AMBER Alert has been activated to assist in locating William Merino, 9 months, Hispanic male child, approximately 24"-30", 20-22 pounds, brown eyes, and black hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and khaki pants, at 12 South Talmadge Street, New Brunswick at 9 a.m. this morning.

William was taken by his father, William Merino. William Merino is a Hispanic male, 6'0", 160 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, with a MS 13 tattoo on his left arm and a star tattoo on his neck. Merino was last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue pants. He left the location on foot.
