New video of man police say shot victim during robbery

Philadelphia police want to catch a robbery suspect who shot an intended victim. They released new video of the man, more than two weeks after the violent incident.

They said the victim was walking with another person on 24th Street approaching Clifford Street, back on April 30 at about 1am.

That's when two men came from Clifford Street and tried to rob the victims.

Police said one began to struggle with one of the robbers, so the second robber fired a shot, hitting the victim.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Both suspects got away.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the shooter shortly before the robbery, and also the struggle on the street.

The shooting suspect was described as in his late teens to early 20s, with a medium complexion, short hair, a heavy beard, stocky build, and he was wearing wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Police say do not approach the suspects, but call 911.
