NFL player saves wheelchair-bound girl's prom

An NFL player scored big, surprising a high school teen in a wheelchair and saving her prom experience.

Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Cameron Erving showed up at Elna Wright's house on Saturday.

Wright, 17, has a rare progressive disorder called Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia. FOX 8 Cleveland reported she was supposed to go to the prom with her boyfriend, who passed away last fall.

Prom was approaching and Wright didn't have a date, so her parents reached out to the Browns. Erving offered to be Wright's date and pulled out all of the stops.

"I just wanted to come here for her," he told FOX 8. "Just being able to make her smile, that's the biggest thing. Everybody deserves happiness, so anything I can do to make this night as special as possible."

Erving picked up Wright in a limo bus. On the way to the prom, they even stopped off at a park to take pictures.
