NJ man's death ruled a homicide

- Police say they investigating after a man was found dead in his home on Buck Road in Elk Township, New Jersey.

"My wife come in, she's hollering for him, she couldn't find him and she said the couch and everything is a shamble," said Frank Fazzio. He and his wife were stunned when they opened the door to their son's tiny house just behind their home on Buck Road in Elk Township.

"I seen the couch laying over and the television blasting," said Frank who says he lifted the couch and there was his son 59-year-old Michael Fazzio dead underneath with a pile of blankets covering him.

"I took them off then I seen him, part of him, so I grabbed his butt and shook him few times. He didn’t move so I ran right out and called the police."
Frank said whoever did this bound his son and left him for dead on the blood stained carpet.

"His feet were tied, hands behind him, bag over his head and duck taped," said Frank.  They found Michael around noon on Monday after they hadn't seen him all day Sunday.  The Gloucester County Prosecutors office says Michael was assaulted and an autopsy determined the cause of death to be mechanical and positional asphyxia.  Frank says his son struggled with drinking but he doesn't know who would want him dead.

"He was a pleasure to be around when he wasn't drinking and everybody liked him."

Investigators say so far no one has been arrested and they don’t have a motive yet.

"I can’t wait to hear that they caught somebody because somebody did it. There's no way in this world that boy could have tied himself up by himself like that. No way," said Frank.
