North Philadelphia the scene of barricade situation, police say

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police in North Philadelphia are on the scene of a barricade situation.

According to investigators, 911 operators received a call just before 8:45 Saturday evening about a woman on the 300 block of Diamond Street that was shot in the leg by a man inside an apartment. The woman was reportedly en route to Temple University Hospital.

Authorities did not find a victim, but say while investigating that report, officers on scene heard gunshots in an apartment above them.

SWAT was called to the scene and police set up a staging area.

The scene was cleared later in the evening. Police say no arrests were made.
