Officer busted for dealing in child pornography

A man was busted during an investigation into sharing child pornography online and it turns out, he worked as an officer with the New Castle County Division of Police.

The Delaware Child Predator Task Force arrested Robert Vasecka, 45 of Newark, for 25 counts of dealing in child pornography.

Authorities got a tip from a public internet chat room reporting one of its users uploaded suspected images of child pornography.

The task force got subscriber information for the account, which came back to Vasecka. They arrested him and then say they found "at least 25 images of child pornography as defined by Delaware law" on his cell phone.

Vasecka is being held on $500,000 secured bail at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
