Officials investigate allegations Philadelphia teacher took bribes for good grades

A Philadelphia school teacher is under investigation after allegations that she accepted bribes from students in exchange for good grades.

The School District of Philadelphia says the teacher in question has been removed from the LINC High School on West Erie Avenue in North Philadelphia pending an investigation.

District spokesperson Lee Whack spoke to FOX 29 about the allegations Wednesday saying, "It's hard to predict exactly how long the investigation will take, but we are going to fully cooperate with it and make sure we get all of the facts and make a decision that's best for the school."

The district says the inspector general has been notified and the teacher has not been fired at this time.
