Pain replaced with a smile, 10 years after sniper shot vet

Thanks to two cutting-edge reconstructive surgeries, after ten years, US Navy veteran Dusty Kirby can smile once again.

Kirby was standing post in Iraq around Christmas 2006 when he was hit by enemy sniper fire.

Kirby told FOX News his detail for the day was ending and he was about to leave his post when he was shot by an Iraqi sniper, shattering his jaw.

For ten years, Kirby experienced chronic pain and other severe repercussions.
