People flock to South Jersey for cheesesteaks at Chick's Deli

CHERRY HILL, NJ (WTXF) Stop by Chick's Deli in Cherry Hill at lunchtime and there's a crowd. They come for the cheesesteaks. Some walk out with a bag full of them. People come from all over for the best cheesesteak in the Philly area. Chick's has been in business since 1957. In 2003, Chick's Deli won Philadelphia Magazine's 'Best Cheesesteak.'

Joe Danforth met Chick through some friends and bought it in 1976. In 1984, he put the grill in and has been making cheesesteaks ever since.

People love Chick's Cheesesteaks but it can be tricky to find if you're a first timer, but people manage to find it. Chick's Deli is sandwiched between Route 70 and some houses.

Anthony Dellamonica or Tony, as he's known, found it and became Joe's partner in 1981

Customers love Chick's and many of them have been coming here for years and not just for the cheesesteaks but for the sense of family.

"We're always here you're not gonna see a different face. You'll always see the same people here."
