Police: Child abduction, carjacking was man's hoax

The search for a missing four-year-old boy is off. Philadelphia police now say there was never any boy, and it was all a hoax.

They said a 22-year-old pizza delivery driver told them he was babysitting the boy while working, Monday evening.

Then, in Logan, when he got out of his car to deliver a pizza at 15th and Courtland streets, someone stole the car with the child still inside.

Police say after being questioned, the man admitted he made the story up.

He's being held at Northwest Detectives. There's no word yet on any possible charges.

The car was later found at 16th and St. Pauls streets.
