Children found safe after carjacking in North Philly; 2 suspects at large

Police have recovered a stolen vehicle, but continue to search for two suspected carjackers.

The two men are accused of stealing a white Lincoln Navigator at gunpoint around 8:30 Wednesday night.

It happened near Kensington and Allegheny streets.

Police found the vehicle on Darien Street a short time later, but the suspects ran away.

Initial reports said there were children inside the car when it was stolen.

After further investigation, police say the children were safe with a family member.
