Pilot in hospital after crashing crop-duster in bean field

Delaware State Police are investigating a plane crash that happened at about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.

They're at the scene, southwest of Sandtown in Kent County, about 12 miles southwest of Dover, where the damaged yellow aircraft is on its side in a field.

According to police, "A privately-owned crop-duster occupied by one individual crashed in a bean field just off Mahan Corner Road, east of Still Road. The pilot was removed from the aircraft and has been transported to an area hospital with undetermined injuries."

They point out the investigation is still in its early stages.
