Abington, Pa. (WTXF) - Police say a 14-year-old girl was struck by a car while she was FaceTiming.
Emily and Maddie rushed over to Highland Avenue in Abington where their friend was struck by a car before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
"Her bag is just sitting down there. It's really bad. It's emotional."
SkyFOX flew over the scene Wednesday afternoon as investigators worked.
Friends say the girl was walking to Abington High School for cheerleading practice when the crash happened.
Police say she was on her phone FaceTiming with a friend while walking into the street directly into the path of the passing car.
According to police, the driver of the car was unable to avoid hitting the girl and stopped right away to help.
The girl was taken to Abington Hospital and then taken to CHOP. She is in critical condition at this hour.
