Police: 3 struck by tow truck in Fairhill

Around 7:00 p.m., police say the truck was heading south on B Street when it struck three people who were attempting to cross the street.

A 24-year-old woman, and two young girls aged one and three-years old were taken to local hospitals.

The woman was listed in critical condition with a broken back and pelvis, and multiple facial fractures.

The three-year-old girl was also listed in critical condition with a skull fracture and neck injuries, while the one-year-old was listed in stable condition with cuts and bruises.

Both children were taken to St. Christopher's hospital in a private vehicle.

Police say the 53-year-old driver remained on scene, and DUI is not suspected to have been a cause in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
