Police: 3 suspects sought in home invasion, robbery

Police are searching for three men wanted in connection to a home invasion and robbery in North Philadelphia on Dec. 27.

Police say the victim, 29, was inside his apartment on the 200 block of North 16th Street on Thursday evening, when he went to investigate a commotion near his entryway. When he opened the door he was allegedly assaulted by three black men.

Police say one suspect threw the victim to the ground, put a cloth bag over his head and bound his hands and feet. When the suspect discovered the victim had no money, two assailants ransacked the residence and stole $51,000 in jewelry, handbags, wallets and phones.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction. The victim was able to free himself and call the police.
