Police: Delsea High student charged for laced brownies

Franklinville NJ (WTXF) Police say a 16-year-old has been arrested and charged for allegedly having more than 50 grams of marijuana.

"I went to lunch and everybody was talking about it," said one student at Delsea High.

Franklin Township Police say they got a call from school officials around 11:30 Tuesday morning about a student with narcotics. School officials had received a tip about it.

"They indicated that the juvenile was in possession of suspected baked goods that were baked with marijuana and the school had them in their possession and turned it over to us," said Sergeant Matthew Decesari.

Police believe the student intended to sell the laced brownies and cookies but they don't believe any other students got their hands on them.

Police say the 16-year-old had more than 50 grams of marijuana. He was arrested and charged then released to a parent pending court. We contacted the school district for comment but have not heard back from them.
