Egg Harbor Township, NJ (WTXF) Police say they are investigating burglaries at food banks in New Jersey.
According to police, on Monday, May 16 shortly after 11 p.m., Egg Harbor Township Police Officers responded to a burglar alarm at the PAL “Ready to Ride” building, located on Ridge Avenue. Investigators say upon arrival, they found that the business had been burglarized and ransacked. Several hundred dollars in damage was done to the office, according to police.
Police say on Tuesday, May 17 shortly after 1 a.m., the Community Food Bank, located on the Black Horse Pike, was also burglarized. The front door of the Food Bank was smashed with a cinder block and money was stolen from the donation bin, according to police. Surveillance video shows a male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. He is also wearing dark-colored pants and black shoes with large white soles.
It is unknown if these burglaries are related, according to investigators.
