Police investigate sudden death of 8-year-old in Stratford

A picture of 8-year-old Sailor Righter is posted on the Facebook page of the cheerleading group she belonged to.
The "Sterling Lady Knights" shared it along with a post about a memorial fund for Sailor.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says Stratford Police were called to the girl's home on Union Avenue just before 2 o'clock in the afternoon on New Year's Eve after family said she was unresponsive.  She was taken to the Kennedy Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after.
In a 9-1-1 call Fox 29 requested and obtained from Camden County, Sailor's brother tells the operator he needs help for his quote, "baby sister".  He says she's unresponsive and that his mother went upstairs and found her and told him to call 9-1-1.  Investigators aren’t releasing details about what happened or how the girl died.  They say no one but family members were home when it happened. Neighbors say the girl is the daughter of a Stratford police officer.
