Police locate truck believed to be involved in Lower Southampton hit-and-run

Authorities say they have located a truck believed to be involved in a hit-and-run that killed one and injured another in Lower Southampton Township Monday night. According to authorities, they identified a person of interest in the investigation and are currently working on locating that person.

Police say both teens were crossing street road and Philmont Avenue Monday night around 8 p.m. when they were struck by a pickup truck. Both were taken to the hospital and the 19-year-old woman who was struck succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

Lower Southampton Police Chief John Krimmel says the driver of the truck had pulled over after striking the teens

Police had been searching for a 1992-1997 Ford F250 pickup truck with red and silver, or red and white in color. The truck is believed to have had a ladder rack on it, and a broken passenger mirror and passenger headlight.

Investigators say they received a large number of tips during their investigation.

The female victim, who has not been identified by name, was only described a recent graduate of Bensalem High School.
