Police looking for suspect after fatal shooting in Southwest Philly

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Investigators have released surveillance video in hopes to identify a suspect and his vehicle.

Police are looking for a man who they say started firing numerous shots at another man sitting in front of a house. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon around 1 p.m. on the 1700 block of South Avondale Street in Southwest Philadelphia.

In the video, the suspect is seen driving a white Mercedes SUV down the road before he exits the vehicle and starts shooting a black handgun at another man outside the house.

Officials say the suspect fled north on Avondale Street and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time after the incident occurred.

Police released the suspect vehicle description as a 2016-18 Mercedes GLA 250 - White SUV.
