Police: Man in van approached young girl in Falls Township

Police in Falls Township are investigating a suspicious incident involving a man in a van and a young girl.

On Tuesday, around 3 p.m. police say a 12-year-old girl was walking on the 100 block of Thornridge Drive in Levittown when she was approached by a man in a vehicle.

According to police, the gray minivan drove up slowly beside the girl and the man behind the wheel asked, "Hey, do you want to come see the dogs in the back?"

The girl replied "no" and walked towards the nearest house, while the van quickly fled the area.

The young girl told investigators she saw a small black dog in the driver's seat with the driver and heard at least one large dog bark from the back of the van.

Police have described the man as light-skinned, between the ages of 35 and 45, with straight shoulder length brown hair, and a deep voice.

The van has been described as a "dirty," older model minivan, similar to a Dodge Caravan, with rear sliding doors and tinted rear windows.
