Authorities are seeking a man in the shooting death in Haverford Township that investigators believe may have been a random attack. Now, they say the same person may have fired shots in Overbrook less than an hour earlier.
Haverford Township police released a surveillance photo which brought in a tip that the same man was seen firing shots in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia about 45 minutes before the Ardmore shooting.
In the Ardmore shooting, a man in had just left a pizza shop around 6 p.m. and was walking to a friend's apartment on the 2300 block of Haverford Road when the gunman came toward him and started arguing.
Police say the gunman then shot the victim, identified as 29-year-old John Le, of Narbeth, in front of the apartment complex and ran off. He was last seen on Wynnewood Road.
According to police, the suspect was seen loitering outside a home prompting the homeowner and a neighbor to drive around looking for him.
They found the suspect a block away and the homeowner asked why he was near his home.
Police say the suspect then pulled out a gun and started shooting at them before fleeing in their car.
Both were left uninjured, according to police. the car, however, was hit by the bullets.
