Police: Man steals high-tech doorbells in Northern Liberties and Fishtown

A warning tonight from Philadelphia police after they say someone's been going around stealing high-tech door bells, which are equipped with surveillance cameras.

According to police, the man has been hitting newer homes in Northern Liberties and Fishtown. Cops say there have been at least eight doorbell thefts with most happening September 12. The crime spree dates back to August. Half of the thefts happened on the 100 block of West Master Street.

The suspect usually strikes between 1 .am. and 3 a.m.

Police say the suspect is a man wearing a scarf over his face with a tattoo on his right forearm that may say "Save a place 4 me."
