Police officer shoots one of 3 attacking dogs in North Philadelphia

A police officer responding to dogs attacking another dog in a private yard call in North Philadelphia shoots one dog.

According to authorities, a police officer was responding to a 911 call of three loose dogs attacking a fourth dog in a private yard on the 2900 block of Hicks Street Sunday afternoon about 5:10.

Upon arrival, the officer found the dogs and shot one of the attacking dogs. The dogs were then contained. Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association was called to the situation.

Authorities report no injuries to humans.
