(WTXF/FOX NEWS) - The search for a teenager, missing since his prom last Friday night, is over.
Authorities in Idaho had been frantically searching for Kristian Perez, 17.
Orofino police confirmed the teen had signed out of the prom at 9:32pm. He had gone to the event with a relative, and his tuxedo jacket, one shoe and a broken cell phone were recovered near the vehicle.
But his family had not seen nor heard from him since.
Now, FOX affiliate KNIN reports, “After receiving a tip, police found him in a home in Orofino and took him into custody on a runaway charge. Police say he was in good health.”
Also, police are investigating the 26-year-old man whose home Perez was in when he was found.
Police had said in an earlier statement they got a search warrant to scour through Perez’s call records and text messages for any information that could be useful in their search.
They also used a K-9 officer that indicated he may have walked from where the prom was being held to a nearby parking lot, got into a car.
Lewiston police confirmed they followed up on a possible sighting of Perez there, about 40 miles away, but surveillance video showed it was not him.
