West Pikeland Township, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in West Pikeland Township are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a mother, her daughter and their dog.
Neighbors along busy Art School Road in West Pikeland Township were heartbroken and concerned after a 16-year-old girl and her mother were struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking their dog on a curve late Friday afternoon.
Police released surveillance photo of the white construction truck they believe may have struck the victims. A surveillance camera just off the roadway captured the shot before the accident. Police believe the truck may have a ladder rack on the roof and writing on driver's door.
Investigators say it happened as the speed limit drops from 35 to 25 approaching the curve. The 16-year-old was airlifted to Children's Hospital in serious condition.
